Our team respects your right to privacy. We realise that it is important that you understand the purpose for which we collect details about your health as well as how this information is used, and to whom this information might be disclosed. Our Privacy Policy is in accordance with the Privacy Act 2000.

The policy of our team is to follow these procedures:

  1. The information collected will be used for the purpose of providing treatment to you. Personal information such as your name, address and health insurance details will be used for the purpose of addressing accounts to you as well as processing payments and writing to you about any issues affecting your treatment.
  2. Your patient history, treatment records, x-rays and other material relevant to your treatment will be kept here. You may inspect or request copies of your treatment records at any time or seek an explanation from your surgeon. If you want copies or a written summary, a fee will apply.
  3. We may disclose your health information to other health care professionals or request the information from them if, in our judgement, it is necessary for your treatment. Disclosure of your personal details will be limited as much as possible.
  4. We may also use parts of your health information for research purposes, in study groups or at seminars, as this may provide benefit to other patients. Your personal identity will not be disclosed.

You can be assured that your health information will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. Disclosure will not be made to any person not involved in your treatment or the administration of our practices without your prior consent.

Financial Policy

An initial consultation fee will be charged. At this appointment, all treatment options and costings will be discussed with you. Treatment may be carried out on the day or scheduled on another day depending on the specifics of your case. 

Our team wants to provide the highest care to all of our patients. To do this, we want to ensure that patients are seen as soon as possible so we want to minimise last-minute cancellations. All payments must be made prior to the day of surgery for procedures being carried out under General Anaesthetic and IV sedation including the associated fees of the surgeon, anaesthetist/sedationist and hospital. A deposit may be taken for procedures under local anaesthetic especially if special materials or equipment is to be ordered in for your case.

You may be eligible for some monies back from Medicare or your Private Health Fund (depending on your cover) – please check this if appropriate. Item numbers will be provided for you.
